Adieu...

The past few dayz have been literally a turmoil for me...
Well finally I am happy that I have made a decision at last and stuck to it...

I would be giving up a 'Brand' many feel proud to be associated with and a possible overseas travel to move on to something I have always wanted to do and always felt I belonged there...Several thoughts crossed my mind and I weighed each and every factor but then mind was simply stronger than the heart...And I had to listen to the stronger feeling...

Guyz, I would be bidding farewell to one of the 'Giants of the Indian IT Industry' in early March and moving on to a new journey of professional life ...As it turned out the thought itself is easier than reality...

Lotz of Emotions...Lotz of Drama...But every chapter has an end...I have learnt a lot in my short stint here and hope to use that knowledge and experience in my new sojourn...And I really do hope that the exciting new opportunity brings with it as much challenges and joy as much I have expected it to be !!

This post is dedicated to all my colleagues and Team mates with whom I have shared every moment of my stay here and I am really grateful to some of them for shaping up my early days with their wealth of experience...Thanks a lot Guyz ...Will always be in touch !!

My Tryst With Google !!

This post was long overdue as I always wanted to write about it sometime or the later...They say 'The hunt for the right catch continues...' but I guess when somethings are jinxed against you no matter what you do they dont work out...!!

All this may sound crazy but my jinx with the "G" companies continues ...It all started with GE...then midway I was puzzled by GoldMan Sachs..And now got googled by Google !!

Yup I had a 40 min long gruellin session with a guy from Google sometime back which was for a position based in Google Hyderabad...Things dint work out as they should have because I spent 2 nights reading as much about Data Structures and Algos as possible on a diet of pesticides (Pepsi to be precise) and Chips but the discussion went in a completely diff direction as they were seekin someone to work for their internal applications and not for their products...Nyway at the end of it I was happy that atleast my profile was worth a call frm one of the top notch companies and the fact that I can apply again in six months time..:-)

But yes the jinx does bring in a diff flavour to it...It all started with GE Healthcare sometime back in college days where again I was grilled for an hour...but yes I do admit that I screwed up that interview as it was early days...Next it was midway through that I got a call from Goldman..which to be very frank I went just for the sake of it and as I had thought things dint work out...!!

Now you must be wondering what is dis guy upto ? and what is he doin ?...Very valid question given the fact that I am still employed with one of the giants in the Indian software Industry and am happy that my career started here...But I guess I felt the need somewhere to move on in life and I believe that if ever there is a time to experiment it is now...

So friends to put it more simply come Feb end I will be bidding adieu to my first company and moving onto to unexplored and exciting territory...I hope it doesnt screw up my social life completely because that means less of Orkuttin and less of Bloggin and it also means less movies and music which complicates things more for me...

Sorry about not writing the reviews but all of these movies are worth watchin so do go and see them if you can...
Departed, Blood Diamond - De Caprio is clinical in both (mind the language in Departed)
Babel, Parzania, BlackFriday - Meaningful and realistic cinema at itz best
Rocky Balboa and Pan's Labyrinth - Havent seen them as yet but heard they are good
Eklavya - Hopefully should watch it this week...!!

And since Valentines Day is fast approachin couldnt help but mention a thought for the love birds who want to go for a movie with their loved ones...Check out "Music and Lyrics" starring Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore ...I hope itz a gud suggestion !!
