'Grips' - GoKarting...Off Mysore Road...

Got up early on Sunday morning (26th Oct - 6:00 AM at that !!) thinking that we wud be heading on a Biking trip to Hogennakkal Falls (Bangalore-Krishnagiri-Hogennakkal) as the next day was off for Deepavali...But as our luck wud have it heard that the water levels were too high due to incessant rains and the coracle rides which take u upto to the base of the falls have been suspended till water levels drop to manageable proportions..!! :(

Decided to postpone the plan since the coracle rides and jacuzzi are the most enthraling experiences there...!!

What we did instead ?? :)

Made a dash for 'Adrenalin Rush' on 'GoKarting' Tracks ('Gripz Karting') off Mysore Road...The experience was thrilling and me for one kept asking for more but the heat was taking a toll and empty stomach was crying fowl...We had to head home for proper lunch and back to gud old lazy Sunday evenings...!!

Exploring Paradise...

A lone photography expedition to 'Maravanthe' off the coast of Karnataka sometime in mid-september ended up covering a lot of places on d way...!! :) Here is an account of my adventure captured through d lens...

Murudeshwar : The tall structure of 'Lord Shiva' will catch your attention from quite a distance...This is a beautiful sculpture rite next to the Murudeshwar Beach...A place of absolute bliss !!

Bhatkal - Jog Falls : India's Highest Waterfall...This is a gorgeous beauty and the route to it even more scenic...Some of the photographs taken here have come out amazingly beautiful although I had to clean my lens almost after every couple of shots...The steps which go down to the base of the waterfall are steep...Make sure you have enough fluids on you to make it back to the top and beware of the monkeys !! :)

St.Mary's Island : A 20 minute boat ride to St.Mary's Island off the coast of Karnataka - Malpe Beach ...Must say this is a place of pristine beauty...The ferry is operated by the Govt and they prohibit travel to the Island when the sea is turbulent...Make prior enquires before you reach there...And yes if possible catch the afternoon ferry as the sunset view from the Island is breathtaking...!!

Baindoor : Ottanene a.k.a 'Vattinene' Beach - Baindoor - A perfect place to watch the sun go down and lap up the soothing waves...Love the sunset pics I got here...!! :)

Turtle Bay : A private beach rite next to the Turtle Bay Beach Resort...The sea is calm and the atmosphere relaxed...During mating season you can sight 'Sea Turtles' nesting here although the sightings are rare...The Resort also arranges for adventure sports like Scuba-Diving and Snorkelling in clear waters off the coast...Book in advance to avoid disappointment !! :)

Sowparnika N Maravanthe : River meets the sea and the blend is scenic...The National Highway separates the Sea from the River and the sight is spellbinding...A place to laze around and relax...'Maravanthe Beach' provides that perfect afternoon dip and the 'Sowparnika' back waters the perfect evening boating experience...You will relish the experience here !! :)
