Thatz the Way - 'Mahi' Way...India Under MSD ...

Long time since I have shared my opinion on the current crop (or shud I say breed) of young cricketers under Mahendra Singh Dhoni (Brand 'MSD') or simply 'Mahi' to his teammates...!!

'Controlled Aggression' is what dey call it but I wud say itz the 'Fearless Attitude' and the scant respect for public outcry which makes him stand apart from the rest as Captain of India...He seems to have the rite ingredients to be a defiant and confident Captain in the frame of the 'Great Kapil Dev'...!!

No doubt that the killer instinct was instilled by 'Dada' and the current generation shud owe it to him for backing raw talent and youngsters alike but 'Mahi' too has the same strong regard for it and he sticks to his decision be it the Team selection to Australia or SriLanka...The nonchalant poise on the field and the ruthless aggression inspires one and all to perform and needless to say he gets the best out of everyone simply because he commands respect both from within the Team and from the Opposition...!!

Hardly perturbed by the situation he goes about the job at hand in the most uncomplicated manner which is what is the most striking and delightful attribute of his Captaincy...Neither have the burden of stardom (read Post T20 World Cup) nor the series of endorsements had any adverse effects on his performance on the field...I hope he doesnt prove me wrong...!! :)

But 'Mahi' does have an aura around him which inspires you to perform at your best...No doubt he has made his mark on foreign soil (CB Series Aus and Idea Cup SL) post T20...!!
Letz just hope that we can expect bigger achievements from this lot in future and someday they will bring back the tag of truly 'World Champions' under MSD...!! :)
