Guru Bhai Guru Bhai...Mast Che !!

Dhirubhai Ambani himself would have been proud of Mani Ratnam's vivid take on his life as a small town boy named Guru who knew the intricacies of business and within a short span rebelled against the system and the powers that be to create an image of his own and generate hope amongst the common man. He inspired people to Dream Big and made them realise it too !!

Guru essentially narrates the journey of a boy who with his determination and vision becomes one of the greatest Industrialist of modern India better known as GURUKANT DESAI and how he handles his empire from falling prey to a myopic government.

Riveting and Gripping...This movie is full of substance and will keep you glued for the entire
length.I found glimpses of Sarkar somewhere in it but then again it is purely from an abstract viewpoint not related in any way to the story or the narration...Itz just that the scenic settings and village backdrops seemed so familiar very much Mani Ratnam style.

Abhishek Bachchan has given a performance of a lifetime and 'Brand Aishwarya' is on an image makeover mission after the not so great appearance in Dhoom II...Again the cast and the roles fit perfectly and you would feel a lot of research has been done to find the right people and to get them in shape to deliver a power packed performance.

Not to forget Mithun da, Madhavan and ofcourse Vidya Balan for great supporting roles. And I would be crazy enough if I dont mention the foot-tapping music of AR Rahman...Trust me if you havent heard all of the songs then you would definitely sway to numbers like Maiyya Maiyya, Yemma Yemma Yemma Le and Nannare Nannare....!!

All in all a great movie...Cudnt have missed the First Day Last Show as usual...Mani Ratnam at his very best...This movie is a must watch !!
